Bucci, a Global Leader in Risk Management, Advises Sleep Disorder Management Programs for Transportation Fleets
ATLANTA – Fusion Sleep, the leading provider of transportation sleep medicine services, announced today the appointment of global risk management expert Ray Bucci to its Transportation Business Advisory Board.
Bucci joins transportation finance expert Mitch Poole as the newest members of Fusion Sleep’s Transportation Business Advisory Board.
“Ray offers our Transportation Business Advisory Board deep expertise in risk management and critical success factors such as accident prevention and expense controls,” said Sigurjon Kristjansson, CEO of Fusion Sleep. “Ray’s wealth of experience and insight into the risk management, insurance and food retailer sectors will guide us as we develop our programs to offer the most effective and profitable sleep solutions for safety conscious companies.”
“Risk management’s greatest expense is worker’s compensation, which is the largest expense overall outside of payroll,” Bucci stated. “Any opportunity to implement accident prevention measures, adding to driver and public safety, are key to controlling expenses, which normally seem out of our control. Sleep programs that prevent accidents for workers, drivers and in-store customers is a win/win for everyone.”
Bucci brings over 40 years of experience in insurance, risk management and operations oversight of public companies globally to the board. His experience includes holding the positions of Vice President and Risk Manager for Stop & Shop Companies, Vice President and Risk Manager for Ahold USA, and Vice President and Global Risk Manager for Royal Ahold.
Bucci’s experience also includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Vermont Captive Insurance Association, the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Self-Insurance Association, the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Self-Insurance Association as well as a member and chairperson of the Risk and Insurance Management Committee of the Food Marketing Institute.
