Mr. Shapiro is a seasoned senior level executive with 30 years experience providing leadership and vision resulting in building market share and profitability in technology-based companies.

 

Mr. Shapiro held roles as Chief Operating Officer, President and Board member with companies in the wireless, Internet and computer service industries.

As President of Cellular Communications of Puerto Rico he grew the company's market share from 5% to over 50%, which positioned the firm for a sale to SBC (now ATT) for over $800 million. This transaction represented a seven-time increase in value from the point that Shapiro took control.

Prior to that period, Mr. Shapiro had a leadership role in a start up of a wireless business in Cleveland, Ohio. This business became one of the fastest growing cellular companies in the US and was the first to generate free cash flow.

As a consultant with AMDOCS, Inc. Shapiro closed a multimillion-dollar billing system with US Cellular.

Mr. Shapiro has also held senior leadership roles with Automatic Data Processing ("ADP"), Management Reports (a software business serving the real estate industry) and Comet Technologies (a wireless application business).

Shapiro holds a BS in Accounting from American University and is a CPA.
