Kim McQuilken - Entertainment and Sports Media
Kim McQuilken has over 20 years of experience in the Entertainment and Sports Media Business. As a senior executive with Time Warner’s Turner Broadcasting System, Kim excelled at monetizing intellectual properties including the World’s largest animation library and the largest classic film library.
Additionally, his experience of generating incremental revenue growth extends across advertising, sponsorships, licensing and promotions. In Kim’s last seven years at Turner as EVP, Cartoon Network Sales & Marketing, he presided over a media vertical that averaged 25% annual growth for six consecutive years, named the media sales group of the year by the prestigious Meyers Report over his last three years, and was ultimately responsible for the management of 120+ employees and total annual sales responsibility exceeding $450 million.
In addition to partnering with Time Warner “in-house” family entertainment assets at Warner Bros and D.C. Comics, while at Cartoon Network, Kim also worked closely with many of the major Hollywood Studio releases targeting kids, young adults, and families including Disney, Viacom (Paramount), Sony and MGM. He has collaborated on the development of kids mega brand content like Star Wars: Clone Wars (animated shorts), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (animated series), Transformers (animated series), and Ben 10 (animated series).
Kim is a graduate of Lehigh University, spent over 9 years as a professional quarterback in the NFL (Falcons and Redskins) and U.S.F.L. (Federals), over 18 years as a freelance college football commentator (ABC Radio, Raycom, ESPN, TBS) and is the author of “The Road to Athletic Scholarship” (1996). Since 1996 Kim has served on the Chick-fil-A Bowl Team and Marketing selection committee and is currently Vice-Chair. Kim resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
